Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: RN - Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 Experience: Greater than 2 years of experience required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required - AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent required - AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or equivalent required Must-Have: - Recent EPIC experience required Description: The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care. The nurse supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordination of care with other disciplines is essential. Utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment is necessary. Assessment data will be collected and analyzed to determine diagnoses and care issues. A plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes will be developed. The plan will be implemented, and care delivery will be coordinated. Strategies to promote health and a safe environment will be employed. Progress toward attaining outcomes will be evaluated. Outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation will be identified. Collaboration with the team, including patients, families, and healthcare providers is critical in providing care. Learning opportunities will be provided for patients, family members, and team members. Health information will be directly provided to patients and families. Participation in discharge planning will help ensure continuity of care. Appropriate delegation of duties among healthcare team members will be necessary. Other job-related duties may be assigned as needed. Safety and well-being of associates and patients are paramount. Compliance with required vaccinations is a condition of employment. Medical and religious exemptions may apply. This department provides triage, treatment, and support for patients in an acute care setting.
