Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for Dedicated RNs in Family Birth Center!

Job Description:


- Shift: 12-Hour Nights
- Schedule: Every Other Weekend, First to Float
- Unit: Family Birth Center
- Beds: 19 Postpartum, 12 Labor & Delivery, 2 ORs, 1 PACU

Key Responsibilities:
- Proctored Dysrhythmia Test onsite on day one (PASS/FAIL)
- Follow California nurse-to-patient ratios (1:4 to 1:1)


Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Advanced AWHONN

Work Environment:
- Charting System: Cerner & Fetal Link for surveillance
- Clinical Supervisor on duty 6/7 days
- No Nurse Aides; OB techs will scrub & cover desk
- Floating: Potential to Pediatric patients (couplets) and NICU (feeding/growers if experienced); orientation included

Patient Care:
- Manage both low & high-risk deliveries
- Work alongside Hospitalist or Laborist (OB Dr. in-house 24/7)
- RT & Pharmacy services available 24/7

Additional Notes:
- Orientation: 3 shifts if circulating; otherwise, 2 shifts
- Peak volume in July & October
- Cancellations: Up to 4 shifts for 13-week commitments
