This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful completion of high-profile construction projects, by providing accurate and competitive mechanical estimates. You will be responsible for all aspects of mechanical estimating, including HVAC, plumbing, and retrofit projects, with a focus on sheet metal works. In addition, you will be involved in bidding, budgeting, and preparing cost analysis for various projects. This role demands a high level of analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. With at least 5 years of experience in mechanical estimation, you will be well-equipped to drive our projects forward and ensure their successful completion. Responsibilities: Prepare detailed, accurate mechanical estimates for construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and retrofit works. Conduct thorough analysis of drawings and specifications to understand the full scope of work required. Prepare and submit competitive bids for projects, ensuring all cost factors are accurately represented. Participate in budgeting processes, providing detailed cost analysis and financial projections. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between project scope and estimate. Continually monitor industry trends and pricing to ensure our estimates remain competitive and accurate. Conduct post-project evaluations to determine areas for future improvement in the estimating process. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical estimating within the construction industry. Proven experience with HVAC, plumbing, retrofit, and sheet metal works. Strong understanding of estimating, bidding, and budgeting processes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders. Proficiency in relevant software and technology used in mechanical estimating. Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong knowledge of construction industry trends, pricing, and best practices.
