We are seeking an individual who has an entrepreneurial spirit that will champion the careers of our Cerologists® and business to success. This person must thrive not only on running day-to-day operations but helping the business to grow.  This person must be able to confidently manage all aspects of the business from client service, human resource management, local marketing/PR, inventory, and fiscal accountability.  This person will also be passionate about the beauty industry, engaged in ongoing learning, and enthusiastic about the local community the studio serves. 

SUMMARY:
The Studio Technical Manager position is responsible for working closely with the studio manager with all day-to-day operation and management of the business and with leading a team to deliver the ultimate client experience. As part of this role, the Studio Technical Manager will also perform waxing services for clients. Candidates must have an active North Dakota Cosmetology or Esthetician License and prior professional waxing experience.

Upon hire, the Studio Technical Manager will complete the Waxing the City Certification Program, which provides comprehensive, hands-on training in our service techniques, safety and sanitation protocols, client care standards, and signature service methods. This paid certification ensures every Cerologist® is trained to deliver a safe, consistent, and exceptional guest experience while meeting Waxing the City's technical and service standards across all studios. 

The Studio Technical Manager will also work closely with Studio Manager, District Manager and Owner to help oversee human resource management, public relations/marketing, customer service/relationship management, and fiscal accountability. 

 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Client Acquisition, Client Experience, Client Retention 
• Inventory Management
• Local Marketing, Community Engagement, Local Studio Social Media, and Public Relations
• Staff Recruitment, Hiring, Management, Development and Retention
• Onboarding and certifying new Cerologists® utilizing Waxing the City Core Training Modules
• Studio upkeep this includes but not limited to the following: managing cleaning checklist in accordance to the Board of Cosmetology for the treatment rooms & front lobby area. Identifying & reporting any broken or unsafe equipment in the studio to ensure the safety or employees and clients.
• Coaching Cerologists® to meet studio goals
• Execution of System Wide Promotions and Club Orange Loyalty Program Growth and Retention

ROLE SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY:
This role ensures that the business is running at maximum efficiency, the client experience is delivering on expectations and goals, the staff is receiving applicable training and development, and the business is operating at a profit.

 
The Studio Technical Manager is responsible for oversight of operating according to the laws of the State and that all Cerologists® have the appropriate licenses, abilities to perform the duties assigned, and is adept at delivering a high-end client experience. 

 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Active North Dakota Cosmetology or Esthetician License
• 2-year degree or equivalent
• Effective leadership skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Ability to motivate a team to deliver a superior client experience
• Exceptional Customer Service
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliverables simultaneously 
• Detail Oriented

PREFERRED:

• 2 years business and staff management 
• 2 years beauty industry/salon experience
