The position is expected to transition to an exempt/salaried classification following successful completion of approximately 90 days.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Stockroom Supervisor to oversee stockroom, inventory, receiving, shipping, and material-control activities within a manufacturing environment.

This position is responsible for coordinating the scheduling and release of parts, maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting purchased-part requisitions, and supervising employees involved in stockroom and material-control operations.

The ideal candidate will have significant supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, strong inventory-control knowledge, and experience working with ERP or manufacturing inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily stockroom and inventory-control operations.
Provide direction and delegate assignments to Stockroom Clerks, Receiving personnel, Shipping personnel, and related support staff.
Coordinate the scheduling and release of parts to support manufacturing and production requirements.
Monitor stock levels and assist with requisitioning purchased materials and components.
Maintain accurate inventory-control records and system procedures.
Manage inventory databases and ensure inventory transactions are completed accurately.
Monitor receiving, shipping, material movement, and parts availability.
Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation activities.
Provide technical and procedural support related to inventory control and parts exchanges.
Coordinate with Finance, Production, Purchasing, Shipping, Receiving, and other departments as necessary.
Train, coach, and provide day-to-day direction to department employees.
Ensure departmental procedures, documentation, and manufacturing requirements are followed.
Requirements

Manufacturing industry experience is required.
Minimum 5 years of supervisory, leadership, and delegation experience within a manufacturing environment.
Previous stockroom, inventory control, materials, warehouse, or manufacturing operations experience.
Strong understanding of inventory-control procedures and material movement.
Experience supervising employees in receiving, shipping, stockroom, or related functions.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience working with an ERP, MRP, inventory, or manufacturing management system.
M2M ERP experience is a plus.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to prioritize work and coordinate multiple inventory and production-related activities.
