Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Full Time; Athens, GA, US. Landmark Hospital of Athens is searching for Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team! Summary: As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide in‑depth clinical expertise under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Licensed Practical Nurses are responsible for assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating each level of nursing care provided to patients throughout their stay, actively planning for the management of patient outcomes across the continuum of care. You will work in close cooperation with specialists in a variety of disciplines, including Physicians, Pharmacists, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Wound Care, Dietary Therapy, Social Work, and Dialysis. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments. Provide direct care for patients and manage their conditions under the direction of a Registered Nurse, particularly with regard to vital signs, lab work, and education. Collaborate with Physicians, RNs, and various disciplines within the hospital to manage patient care. Contribute to the safe and effective operation of the nursing unit. Interact and communicate with patient family members. Requirements Active and unrestricted Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse licensure. BLS and ACLS certification. Hospital experience, preferably critical care. Acute care and/or LTAC experience preferred.
