This position is part of the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities Center in the Airborne Surveillance RF organization and is onsite in Plano, TX. What You Will Do Perform system level performance analysis to evaluate and optimize advanced airborne sensor capabilities Develop, refine, and analyze algorithms to support mission-critical aerospace applications Conduct trade studies to compare technical approaches and guide engineering decisions Build statistical models and performance predictions for complex, multidisciplinary systems Execute detailed data analyses following Raytheon engineering processes and best practices Participate in formal and informal peer reviews; identify, track, and resolve technical issues Provide clear, timely task status updates and deliver high quality work products to the team lead Interface daily with engineering teammates, team leads, and cross-functional partners to ensure technical alignment Support customer and program presentations by contributing technical content and insights Collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders to drive successful program outcomes Qualifications You Must Have Degree in a STEM discipline and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience Experience in Signal Processing Algorithms or Models, Image Processing Algorithms or Models, Detection Theory, or Machine Learning Mathematical modeling and analytical problem-solving skills Proficiency with UNIX/Linux environments Programming experience in C or C++, and hands-on experience using MATLAB or Python for data analysis Qualifications We Prefer Active DoD Top Secret clearance Advanced STEM degree Experience developing signal processing algorithms for airborne surveillance applications, including physics-constrained modeling, digital communications, detection and estimation theory, or AI/ML model development and training Realtime programming for embedded or mission critical systems Experience using software change management tools, version control systems, and established software development processes What We Offer Relocation assistance available for this position Onsite: Employees working onsite will work primarily onsite, including all production and maintenance employees Competitive salary range: 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD, based on experience, education, and skills Eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays Potential for annual incentive compensation programs, subject to performance and business unit availability Raytheon is an equal opportunity employer.
