What You'll Do:

Provide perioperative nursing care for surgical patients during day shift operations
Circulate in a busy, multi-specialty surgical setting, including trauma surgeries
Assess patient condition and coordinate with surgical and anesthesia teams
Maintain a safe, sterile environment adhering to hospital standards and AORN guidelines
Respond to emergency cases and add-on surgeries efficiently
Work independently during off-hours in a community hospital trauma setting
Support various specialties including Orthopedics, Cardio Thoracic, ENT, GYN, Plastics, Vascular, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Urology, Neurosurgery, and Robotic Procedures

What You Need:

Required: Valid RN license, ACLS & BLS certifications
Preferred: 2+ years OR circulating experience, trauma-related experience, charge nurse experience
Key skills: Strong assessment abilities, teamwork, independent decision-making, adaptability to fast-paced settings

About the Assignment:

This role involves perioperative nursing at a Level II Trauma Center that handles a variety of complex cases across multiple specialties. The assigned schedule emphasizes a weekend block pattern, providing a balanced work/life rhythm. The hospital provides scrubs and maintains a commitment to safety and quality patient care during off-hours operations.
