Data Engineer

The Senior Associate, Data Engineer, reporting to the Manager of Data Science, is responsible for building and maintaining the data pipelines and infrastructure that power business operations, analytics, and decision-making. This role helps ensure data is accessible, reliable, and scalable across the organization by supporting data management systems, databases, and integration workflows. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to deliver well-structured, high-quality data into Snowflake and other operational data platforms. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain data pipelines and integrations using Snowflake, AWS RDS, Python, dbt, MuleSoft, Git, and GitHub Actions. Partner with data scientists and analysts to model and optimize data in Snowflake, ensuring datasets are structured, documented, and prepared for analytics, reporting, and business intelligence needs. Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production data pipelines, diagnosing issues and driving timely resolution of failures and performance concerns. Improve data quality, reliability, and operational efficiency by identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable data engineering solutions. Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment processes, and documentation to ensure high-quality engineering practices and knowledge sharing. Support ongoing enhancements to data infrastructure, data governance, and platform performance. Key Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field. 2–4 years of experience building, maintaining, and supporting data pipelines in a professional environment. Experience with Python, SQL, Snowflake, dbt, and MuleSoft. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate unfamiliar systems and independently investigate technical challenges. Experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including analysts, data scientists, and business partners. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, integrity, and reliability.
