Personnel Security Specialist

Deliver complete and accurate case file packages to the government that are ready for further adjudicative processing based on applicable handbooks and processing guides Initiate employees’ Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Processing(e-QIP) or successor system; ensure submission of fingerprints-Responsible for the receiving, screening, validation and processing of documents and case files Assist in preparation for security audits and end-of-day procedures, be responsible for the reception area for access control, badging of visitors, mail receipt and delivery and other ancillary duties and projects expected in a professional office environment Enter all required data into the PERSEC Systems accurately, DCMS-34 estimates annual case requests at approximately 12,000 Interact directly with SECCEN customers via telephone and email correspondence Qualifications At least 5 years of previous experience adjudicating personnel security background investigations for eligibility and suitability for federal government employment Must be detailed oriented, have great documentation skills and strong organizational skills Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook Theoretical and practical project management knowledge Role requires contractors to be onsite in Chesapeake, VA We are an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
