Human Resources Business Partner

AAA Hoosier Motor Club offers a role that blends strategy and hands-on HR support in an organization serving multiple locations and diverse work environments. This Human Resources Business Partner position is onsite in Indianapolis, IN and supports leaders and employees across fleet operations, call center teams, and service center locations. You will help improve employee experience while strengthening compliance, employee relations, and workforce planning across the business. What you’ll do Partner with department leaders to align HR initiatives with business objectives, including organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategies. Use people data and trends to inform decisions and improve operational effectiveness. Support change management efforts and business transformations. Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including investigations and conflict resolution. Coach leaders on performance management, corrective action, and HR best practices. Support positive employee experience across office, call center, and automotive services environments. Drive engagement initiatives and support retention strategies. Support recruiting in partnership with HR Generalist | Recruiter , including workforce planning and interview support. Partner on onboarding and orientation in collaboration with HR Generalist | Recruiter . Collaborate with leaders on succession planning, career development, and performance review processes. Identify learning and development needs and coordinate training solutions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and consistently interpret and communicate HR policies and procedures. Lead OSHA reporting and workers’ compensation, manage ADA accommodations, and oversee FMLA and leave management as the primary contact. Work with HR leadership to update policies as business needs evolve. Support compensation planning, job evaluations, and market alignment, including headcount and labor cost management. Partner with payroll and benefit vendors to resolve employee questions and issues. Travel to service centers and remote locations as needed to provide onsite HR support and ensure consistent HR practices across all locations. What you bring Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field. 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations and leadership support. Experience supporting multi-site , service-based, or operations-heavy environments. Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Ability and willingness to travel regularly to local service locations as needed. Ability to know, understand, and effectively communicate company benefit plans and policies.
