Florida Licensed Hospice Physician

To facilitate timely access to care for eligible patients, the part-time Florida Licensed Hospice Physician will provide physician services to the Patient Access Department, ensuring compliance with regulatory documentation and offering education to admissions personnel. Key responsibilities Collaborate with the Director of Patient Access Services to maximize hospice care access for eligible patients Evaluate patient information and determine initial and ongoing eligibility for hospice services based on clinical indicators Complete written certifications and clinical narratives for admitted patients while ordering necessary medications for comfort Required qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Licensed to practice medicine in Florida, with a willingness to obtain additional state licenses Current DEA number and Medicare/Medicaid numbers Minimum of five years' experience or completion of a Fellowship Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association or the Red Cross
