Step into a fulfilling role as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary students. This contract opportunity is available full-time, Monday through Friday, at a vibrant elementary school near San Tan Valley, AZ. You’ll play a meaningful part in fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience working with elementary-age students, preferably in a school setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Ability to differentiate instruction and manage a variety of learning and behavioral needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to elementary students with individualized education plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to implement accommodations
- Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and ongoing case management
- Engage in positive behavioral interventions to support student success in and out of the classroom
What to Expect:
- Full-time schedule: Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week
- Contract expected to run through May 26th, 2027
