This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. The assignment includes working every other weekend and participating in the call rotation.

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a tertiary teaching hospital, ideally in a Level 1 trauma setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing respiratory care to patients across various units, including NICU, PICU, acute pediatrics, and ED. Must be familiar with adult acute and critical care as well.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy interventions for a wide range of patient populations.
• Manage and operate respiratory equipment, including ventilators and other support devices.
• Participate in patient assessment and treatment planning in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Engage in continuous professional development and adhere to best practices in patient care.
• Participate in call shifts as scheduled.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 3 years of recent experience as an RRT in a hospital setting.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS and NRP certifications are preferred.
• Current RRT licensure.
• Experience in NICU/PICU and critical care settings is highly desirable.
