Sr. Claim Specialist (Property) - Hybrid

Sr. Claim SpecialistRSUI is searching for a detail-oriented and collaborative Sr. Claim Specialist to join our Property Claim unit in Atlanta, Georgia. The Sr. Claim Specialist provides specialized, technical claim handling expertise for our E&S commercial property line of business. Strong working relationships are a key component of RSUI's team-oriented, high-performance culture. Our specialized area of industry focus requires real-time, in-person collaboration that fosters meaningful dialogue and strengthens professional connections. Team meetings, employee events, and other work obligations also often require an in-person presence. This position will work RSUI's hybrid schedule, which requires three days weekly in the office. We're proud to offer fantastic benefits, supportive leadership, and a high-performance, collaborative workplace culture.Responsibilities:Assertive daily handling of Property Claims associated with Property and Binding Authority Underwriting policies.Keeping reinsurers updated on developments which allow them to evaluate their exposures when applicable.Providing appropriate reporting on files to the Unit Leader and/or Sr. Management with recommendations on reserving, plan of action, and current evaluation as required.Acting independently in evaluating claim exposures within assigned dollar authority.Attending business related functions, such as team meetings, mediations, trials, company events, etc.May perform other related tasks as assigned, depending on business need.Qualifications:College degree or equivalent property claims experience.Minimum 6+ years of property claims experience, including substantial experience in E&S commercial property claims.Technical experience in claims, claims handling practices, and practical knowledge of coverage and policy language.Adjuster's license required.Strong technical and analytical skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills (telephone, email and interpersonal).Excellent understanding and skill level of internal and external customer service.Knowledge of specialized claim handling, policy interpretation-both standard forms and manuscript forms, damage assessment, expert selection and management, principles of investigation, adjustment documentation and evaluation of cases to determine effective course of action.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word and Excel).RSUI provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital status, amnesty, genetic characteristics or genetic information, pregnancy or childbirth, veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by applicable Federal, state, and local laws.
