Certified Payroll Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Certified Payroll Specialist for one of our customers located in Sacramento (Natomas), California. This position is 100% in-office! The role will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our construction projects while adhering to all relevant regulations. The position will be responsible for performing weekly and monthly Certified Payroll/Labor Compliance reporting, approve and track subcontractor submissions for projects, and submit weekly, monthly and quarterly federal and state taxes for joint venture payroll.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process certified payroll reports in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Verify and audit payroll data to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain payroll records and employee information in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with project managers and HR to gather necessary payroll information.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a payroll professional in the construction industry
• Experience with Labor Compliance Reporting and Prevailing Wage
• Software experience with Vista Viewpoint, LCP Tracker & DIR upload experience preferred
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook & Excel)
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and reporting requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Experience: 5 years of Payroll experience with expertise in the construction industry
Employment Type: Temp to Hire

Pay Details: $30.00 to $33.00 per hour
