Road One Mobile Inc is looking for an Experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Ontario, CA! This is a great opportunity to put your skills to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where your expertise keeps our fleet running strong. If you're passionate about diesel engines and take pride in quality work, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered trucks, trailers, and heavy-duty vehicles
- Perform preventive maintenance including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks
- Troubleshoot engine, transmission, electrical, and hydraulic system failures
- Conduct DOT inspections and ensure vehicles meet compliance and safety standards
- Utilize diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve mechanical issues
- Complete accurate repair orders and maintenance documentation
- Coordinate with fleet managers to prioritize repairs and minimize vehicle downtime
- 5+ years of hands-on diesel mechanic experience required
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines (Cummins, Detroit, Paccar, etc.)
- Experience with electronic diagnostic tools such as Nexiq, Jaltest, or similar
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle safety standards
- ASE certification or equivalent trade school training preferred
- Must supply own set of professional hand tools
- Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and able to work independently
