Data Engineer

Senior Data Engineer (Contract)Randstad Digital is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong Snowflake expertise to lead critical data engineering initiatives. This role requires deep technical knowledge, autonomy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines, optimizing data warehousing operations, and supporting data initiatives across teams.Job DutiesBuild and manage data models and transformations using dbt or similar tools.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements and deliver reliable, production-ready solutions.Implement data governance best practices, ensuring data quality, lineage, and compliance.Conduct code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and document technical designs.Work independently and deliver high-quality solutions on time within the scope of the contract.Requirements5+ years of data engineering experience with a focus on cloud data warehousing.3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake including performance tuning, data sharing, and secure data access.Advanced SQL skills and experience with Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation.Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), particularly in deploying data pipelines.Proficiency in dbt, Airflow, or other modern orchestration/transformation frameworks.Proven ability to work independently and deliver in a contract or consulting environment.Preferred QualificationsSnowflake certification (e.g., SnowPro Core or Advanced).Familiarity with business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
