Job Responsibilities

• Assess patients across all age groups utilizing standardized assessments and observational strategies.
• Create customized treatment strategies aimed at addressing both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individual speech therapy sessions targeting language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate effectively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
• Provide education and resources for patients and families, enhancing their understanding and supporting progress outside of direct therapy sessions.
• Conduct inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions when necessary, ensuring seamless care throughout the patient journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with applicable state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Keep abreast of advancements in the discipline through ongoing education and exchanges with peers.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Credentials

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.
