Description: An ASAP start is needed. Interviews will be simplified. This position involves outpatient coverage. The facility functions as a primary care clinic and also houses outpatient therapies. The physical therapist will not work in the primary care clinic but will focus solely on physical therapy. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of one year of outpatient physical therapy experience. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. The patient population primarily includes adults and school-aged children, focusing on non-pediatric developmental diagnoses. Common cases include post-orthopedic recovery, post-spinal surgeries, geriatrics, work injuries, and neurological imbalances. Evaluations are booked for 60 minutes, and treatments last 45 minutes. The practice emphasizes single patient care. On average, the physical therapist will see 8-10 patients per day, though this number may vary. A BLS certification and state licensure are required for this role. The position requires manual therapy experience and the ability to educate patients about adaptive equipment, such as walkers, canes, and crutches. The department consists of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, with the assistant serving as the clinic supervisor. The rehab office coordinator will schedule initial evaluations, while physical therapists will schedule follow-up visits. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner. Occasional floating to assist with outpatient or inpatient needs may be required, though inpatient requests are rare. Staff members will receive advance notice regarding any need to float. There is no weekend rotation or call required for this position. The rehab department will close on six major holidays, and employees are expected to work all other holidays as scheduled.
