We are looking for a Controller to oversee financial operations and provide strong leadership to the accounting function in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. This role is responsible for delivering accurate financial insights, maintaining compliance, and supporting sound business decisions across the organization. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on approach to accounting management, a strong background in manufacturing finance, and a commitment to improving processes and team performance.

Responsibilities:
• Direct the day-to-day work of the accounting team, offering leadership, coaching, and ongoing performance support.
• Produce and review monthly and annual financial statements to ensure reporting is accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
• Prepare consolidated financial information for lenders and other compliance-related reporting needs.
• Oversee cost accounting activities, including product costing analysis and monitoring of manufacturing-related financial data.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and help align financial plans with broader business objectives.
• Manage fixed asset records and develop capital spending budgets to support operational planning.
• Supervise inventory accounting activities, including physical counts, reconciliations, and control procedures.
• Coordinate the annual external audit and serve as the primary point of contact for auditors and regulatory parties.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, strengthen controls, and reduce costs through continuous improvement initiatives.• Proven experience in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, including inventory valuation and product costing.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close activities, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ability to prepare, analyze, and present financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with budgeting, fixed assets, audit coordination, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide, develop, and support an accounting team.
