About the Department

Located in the heart of Grand Blanc, the Pharmacy Department at Genesys Health System is dedicated to delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care to our patients. Our team works collaboratively to ensure accurate medication dispensing, compounding, and patient education. We pride ourselves on maintaining a clean, efficient, and technologically advanced environment, supporting both inpatient and outpatient services. Our department is committed to upholding the highest standards of safety and quality, contributing to the overall health and well-being of our community.

Role Overview

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists by preparing medications, maintaining records, and ensuring the smooth operation of pharmacy services. Your work will directly impact patient care by providing timely and accurate medication dispensing. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our pharmacy operations.

What You Will Do

• Package and label medications for dispensing.
• Compound creams, ointments, and oral solutions under pharmacist supervision.
• Manage patient orders, profiles, and records.
• Process prescriptions and refills using the pharmacy computer system.
• Assist in preparing intravenous admixtures and maintaining sterile products.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) obtained prior to hire date.
• Licensed Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy.
• High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited program.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate of a Pharmacy Tech program.
