CNC Technician

CNC TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled CNC Technician to support our machining operations by setting up tooling for lathes, machining centers, and CNC equipment. This role ensures high-quality production through accurate machine setup, troubleshooting, and adherence to safety and quality standards.Shift: 1stSchedule: M-F 6:30 am-3:00 pmPay Rate: $27/hourLocation: Geneva, ILPerks & BenefitsDirect Deposit or Cash Card pay optionsMedical / Dental Insurance401kSTD /LTDLife InsurancePaid Time OffAdvancement Opportunities$27.00 / HourEmployment Type & ShiftsDirect HireFull Time1st ShiftJob ResponsibilitiesSet up machines, including calibrated gauging and chucking equipment.Work from instructions, blueprints, and process specifications.Assist with insert and tool life testing and record data for engineering.Troubleshoot quality and operational issues such as tool failures or work-holding problems.Obtain inspection approval before production begins.Use precision measuring instruments and perform minor repairs.Monitor SPC functions and support machine operators as needed.Ensure correct operation during production runs.Set up and operate all equipment in the department, including automated lines.Perform preventative maintenance and complete required documentation.Participate in continuous improvement and team problem-solving activities.Validate operator PMs and audit scrap and tool life reporting.Train operators and share knowledge freely.Safely use testing devices, chemicals, and material-handling equipment.Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all PPE requirements.Take pride in work performed and support the company's quality policies.Perform additional duties as assigned.SkillsSuccessful completion of a pre-hire math and mechanical aptitude test.Minimum 3 years of lathe and mill setup experience.At least 5 years in a manufacturing environment, including CNC equipment operation (Fanuc experience preferred).Overtime and weekend work may be required.Associate RequirementsHS Diploma or GEDBackground CheckAble to Lift 60 poundsDrug TestMust be at least 18 years old
