Procurement & Inventory Specialist

LEHR is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Procurement & Inventory Specialist to support procurement, inventory management, vendor coordination, and material planning. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and will have strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. This position will be responsible for sourcing parts and materials, managing purchase orders and vendor relationships, tracking deliveries, and ensuring materials are available when needed to support builds and day-to-day operations. Responsibilities Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, availability, and material requirements to ensure parts and materials are available when needed Parts & Materials Identification: Identify, research, and source the correct parts and materials required for builds and operational needs Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors regarding quotations, pricing, availability, lead times, order status, and delivery requirements Procurement: Manage the purchasing process from sourcing and obtaining quotations through purchase order placement, order tracking, and delivery Purchase Order Management: Create, monitor, and follow up on purchase orders to ensure orders are processed and delivered within required timelines SOP Development: Create, document, maintain, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to promote consistent and efficient purchasing processes Organization & Prioritization: Manage multiple purchase orders, suppliers, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Deadline Management: Proactively communicate with suppliers and follow up on outstanding orders to ensure critical deadlines are met Delivery & Timeline Management: Track purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure parts and materials are delivered according to required schedules Internal Communication: Provide clear and timely updates to internal teams and stakeholders regarding expected delivery dates, delays, order changes, and potential impacts Scheduling & Logistics: Coordinate shipments, delivery schedules, and logistics to ensure materials arrive at the correct location and within the required timeframe Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve supplier, delivery, inventory, pricing, and order discrepancies while minimizing disruptions to operations Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing and business data within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring data integrity and reliability Pricing Management: Coordinate with vendors to obtain updated price lists, verify pricing information, and accurately implement pricing updates within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or a related field, or equivalent experience – preferred Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory, supply chain, or related experience - required Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Excellent communication and vendor relationship management skills Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and proactively follow up on outstanding items Strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central - a plus Power BI report/dashboard creation experience - a plus Ability to interpret and analyze data using Microsoft Power BI Experience in a manufacturing, production, engineering, or operations environment is an asset Experience creating or improving SOPs and process documentation Benefits $60,000 – 65,000, based on experience Full-Time/Nonexempt Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off and holidays Ongoing training and career growth opportunities Schedule Monday to Friday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm Work Location 9240 Prototype Drive, Reno, NV 89521 Equal Opportunity Employer LEHR is an equal opportunity employer.
