Patient Service RepresentativePrecision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a compassionate, professional, and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our Breast Specialists Center team. The PSR serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment. This position is responsible for managing front-office operations, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience throughout every interaction.The ideal candidate possesses excellent customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and a genuine commitment to providing compassionate care to patients navigating breast health concerns.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesGreet patients, families, and visitors in a professional, courteous, and compassionate manner.Check patients in and out for appointments and procedures.Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, and authorizations as needed.Collect copayments, deductibles, and outstanding balances.Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information.Answer incoming phone calls and route messages appropriately.Assist patients with forms, registration documents, and appointment-related questions.Manage incoming faxes, correspondence, and electronic communications.Ensure patient records are updated and maintained within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.Coordinate with clinical staff to support efficient patient flow and scheduling needs.Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.Provide exceptional customer service while addressing patient concerns with empathy and professionalism.Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of one (1) year of customer service, administrative, or healthcare front-office experience.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and data entry.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience in a medical office, specialty practice, or healthcare setting.Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes.Experience scheduling patient appointments and handling high call volumes.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.Why Join Precision Healthcare Specialists?At Precision Healthcare Specialists, we understand that every patient interaction matters.
