The project eliminates distance and access barriers to care for the people living in the region. Before opening the new center, patients needing radiation oncology treatment may have had to travel long distances to receive that care, potentially impacting their treatment plans and outcomes. The new center is the only comprehensive cancer center within a 125-mile radius./ppAs a Radiation Therapist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:/pulliInterprets and implements prescription and treatment plan. Delivers and charts all simulation and treatment summaries./liliPerforms simulation procedures, prepare immobilization devices. Obtains accurate measurements, contours, and other information as needed for dosimetry purposes./liliAssess treatment machines and perform daily equipment warm-up and quality assurance procedures./liliAssists in clinical training and evaluation of student therapists if applicable./liliDemonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills./liliResponsible for basic patient care during treatment delivery, assists with patient education, observes and monitors day-to-day clinical progress of patients for signs of treatment symptoms./liliProvides accurate daily billing information for all treatment related procedures./liliResponsible for scheduling and treating patients in a timely and professional manner./li/ulpSkills/pulliClinical Processes/liliPatient Care/liliCommunication/liliOncology/liliDecision-Making/liliRelationship development/liliProblem Solving/liliEmpathy/liliFlexibility/liliCollaboration/li/ulpMinimum Qualifications/pulliRadiology Tech License in the state of practice/liliCertification in Radiation Therapy from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)/liliBasic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers/li/ulpPreferred Qualifications/pulliBachelors degree in Radiation Therapy.
