INTEGRATED TECHNOLOGY SPECIALISTLocation: Columbia, MO or Palmyra, MOABOUT THE ROLEBe a part of our Martin family!Martin Equipment is seeking an Integrated Technology Specialist to support GNSS machine control and other machine technology solutions across our Missouri territory. This is a hands‑on, field‑focused technical role working directly with customers, operators, and our Machine Sales Group to ensure successful deployment and use of John Deere SmartGrade, Trimble Earthworks, Leica iCON, and Topcon 3D‑MC systems. The right candidate enjoys working with heavy equipment, solving technical problems, supporting customers on active jobsites, and learning advanced construction technology solutions.POSITION OVERVIEWThe Integrated Technology Specialist is responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting integrated technology solutions on heavy equipment. This includes performing system calibrations, resolving hardware and software issues, and helping operators understand how to use the technologies effectively. Success in this role requires a blend of mechanical aptitude, basic electrical skills, computer comfort, customer service, and construction jobsite knowledge. The Specialist will often work independently at active construction sites and must represent Martin Equipment professionally while ensuring support is completed safely and correctly. This position is based out of our Columbia or Palmyra, MO stores and supports customers throughout our Missouri territories.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESInstall, configure, and calibrate machine control and other technology solutions on construction equipmentPerform diagnostics, software updates, hardware checks, and field troubleshootingAssist with wiring, mounting, sensor placement, displays, antennas, and cablingTrain equipment operators and site personnel on system use, maintenance, and basic troubleshootingConduct quality checks to ensure installations meet Martin Equipment standardsDocument installation details, equipment information, site conditions, and adjustments madeCommunicate clearly with customers, operators, and internal teams regarding installation status and support needsCoordinate with technology partners (Trimble, Leica, Topcon) to resolve complex issuesProvide field feedback on system performance, customer usage, and recurring issuesMaintain tools, testing equipment, parts, and service vehicles in clean working conditionFollow all Martin Equipment safety expectations and customer job‑site safety requirementsAs needed, prepare quotes and factory orders for machine technologiesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSStrong mechanical aptitude and comfort working around heavy equipmentBasic electrical troubleshooting skills (wiring, sensors, connections, power sources)Experience with heavy equipment, construction, GPS systems, machine control, surveying, or related field workAbility to read and follow technical manuals, diagrams, and installation guidesComfortable using computers, tablets, and diagnostic softwareStrong problem‑solving skills and attention to detailProfessional communication skills and ability to support customers on active job sitesValid driver’s license and ability to travel regularlyAbility to work independently and adapt to changing field conditionsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with Trimble, Leica, Topcon, or John Deere machine control systemsBackground in earthmoving, grading, construction, surveying, field service, or equipment installationExperience as a mechanic, equipment technician, survey tech, grade checker, field engineer, or construction technology technicianOSHA 10/30 or other safety certificationsTechnical training in electronics, mechanics, construction technology, surveying, or GPS systemsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to climb on and around heavy equipment safelyAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and use hand tools on active construction sitesWillingness to wear required PPE and follow all job‑site safety rulesWORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVELField‑based role with regular travel to customer job sitesExposure to weather, dust, noise, and active construction environmentsApproximately 50% travel, including occasional overnight staysWHY JOIN MARTIN EQUIPMENT?Strong, family‑oriented cultureWork with industry‑leading equipment and technologyOpportunities for growth and advancementDirect impact on customer success and technology adoptionPay rate dependent upon experience.Background check including MVR and pre-employment drug screen required.Martin Equipment offers competitive wages and an excellent benefits package.Newly hired employees are eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 60 continuous days of employment.100% company-paid health insurance for employee and family.$40,000 company-paid life insurance and AD&D.Employee paid dental, vision, disability, and voluntary life insurance, and flexible spending account option available.401k retirement plan, company-match up to 4%, company-paid holidays and paid vacation.EOEJob Type: Full-time #J-18808-Ljbffr Martin Equipment
