Quality Control Specialist

Job Title Quality Control Specialist Department Quality Control Supervisor Quality Supervisor Status Non-Exempt – Full Time Summary Quality Control Associates ensure all shipments coming in and going out with products and materials meet predetermined quality standards. Responsibilities Inspect all incoming products by confirming specifications and conduct visual and measurement tests. Report issues to the QC Manager to approve rejection or return of unacceptable products. Perform weighting for products and labeling/codification for all inspected shipments to correctly identify product specifications and supplier information. Document and update periodic inspection results and classification results through reports and logs. Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing processes at each station before and after every shift according to established procedures; record each process. Perform periodic finished product quality control inspections and report results to the QC Manager. Maintain a safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. Physical Demands May be required to stand for extended periods of time. May involve some repetitive motions. May reach above shoulder height or below the waist and lift items as required to file documents or store materials. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and use proper lifting techniques. May engage in frequent bending, stooping, pushing and pulling of boxes. Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in food processing or quality environments. Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures. Ability to work in a team environment. Good communication and active listening skills. Attention to detail.
