Technician-Storage Wells

The Gas Storage Well Technician will be responsible for operating the Company's two gas storage fields, Huntsman Gas Storage and East Cheyenne Gas Storage. Both fields comprise a total of 90 gas wells that are used to store and deliver gas as part of the overall storage operation. This position will report directly to the Huntsman Gas Storage supervisor and will serve as a liaison between the supervisor and the other storage operators. The successful candidate will have a background in well operations and will have a proficient understanding of downhole well work, equipment, and tools used in the oil and gas industry. EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE/SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE Good record of safe work practices. 10 years gas well experience and gas well workover experience. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS: May be required to achieve and maintain certifications as required to perform job duties. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel). COMPETENCIES, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals). Good verbal and written communications skills. Ability to complete work assignments with minimal supervision in an acceptable time frame. Strong customer focus and attention to detail. Must be able to perform all essential and marginal functions of the job. Must be able to work with a team, take direction from management, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules. Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines. Ability to organize and prioritize daily work. Job level commensurate with experience and skill sets; position will be filled depending on qualifications, experience and skill sets of the successful candidate. Required to respond to after hour "call outs" due to equipment and/or operational problems as needed. May be required to carry a cell phone, and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
