MIG Welder

MIG welding on mild steel to create beams for structures to be assembled at construction sites. This role requires the ability to read blueprints and may occasionally involve TIG welding. Fabricating and grinding parts when necessary is also part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on mild steel to construct beams.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Occasionally perform TIG welding when required.
• Fabricate and grind parts as necessary.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in MIG welding on mild steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience in production welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Completion of 2 years of welding school.
• Experience in fabricating, machine operating, or grinding is beneficial but not required.

Work Environment

Work the first shift from 6am-4:30pm in a shop with 15 colleagues, predominantly welders, along with a few machine operators and fabricators. Steel-toed boots are required, and employees must provide their own welding equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SAINT AUGUSTA, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
