Seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse Traveler to join a dedicated team. The 24/7 Emergency Department is a busy, board-certified physician-staffed rural ED, with more than 15,000 patient visits annually. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing emergency care team while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of a beautiful rural area. As an Emergency Department RN, you will provide direct patient care across a wide range of emergency presentations. You will rapidly assess patient needs, collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members, and adjust care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes. Successful candidates are adaptable, proactive, and able to excel in a dynamic emergency setting. Key Responsibilities: Assess, prioritize, and deliver emergency care. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and emergencies while utilizing strong clinical judgment and prioritization skills. Collaborate across the care team. Partner closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS personnel, and inpatient teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care. Respond effectively in a fast-paced environment. Manage multiple patient needs simultaneously, adapt quickly to changing clinical situations, and maintain high-quality care under pressure. Promote safe, accurate, and efficient care. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately while adhering to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based emergency nursing practices. Required Qualifications: Current state RN License or Compact Multi-State RN License required. Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required. Minimum three years of Emergency Department RN experience required. TNCC preferred. Experience caring for a broad range of patient populations and emergency conditions. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to learn the system quickly. Must be able to work independently, exercise sound clinical judgment, and function effectively in a rural emergency department environment. Travelers must have reliable personal transportation. Public transportation and rideshare services are not available in the area. Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing accommodations. Flu vaccination is required for all travelers. No exceptions. Holiday coverage is required.
