Central Southern Construction is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to support our pavement preservation and underground utility operations. This role is responsible for ensuring all work is performed in compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements across multiple job sites.Position SummaryThe Quality Control Manager will oversee inspection, testing, documentation, and coordination related to pavement preservation treatments and underground utility construction. This role works closely with project managers, superintendents, field crews, and clients to maintain consistent quality and successful project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee quality control programs for pavement preservation activities including crack sealing, slurry seal, microsurfacing, surface treatments, and related roadway workManage quality control for underground utility installations including water, sewer, storm drain, and associated trenching and restorationEnsure compliance with contract documents, project specifications, and applicable standardsPerform and document inspections, testing, and verification of materials and workmanshipCoordinate with third-party inspectors, laboratories, and agency representatives as requiredMaintain accurate QC records, daily reports, test results, and corrective action documentationIdentify quality issues early and work with field teams to implement corrective measuresSupport project closeout documentation and final acceptancePromote safety, quality, and best practices across all job sitesQualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in pavement preservation, roadway construction, or underground utility workStrong knowledge of quality control procedures, inspection methods, and testing requirementsExperience working with DOT, municipal, and utility authority specificationsAbility to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documentsStrong communication and organizational skillsProficient with field documentation and reporting toolsValid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as neededPreferred QualificationsQCM or QC certification from a DOT or recognized agencyNICET, ACI, or similar construction-related certificationsExperience managing QC programs on multiple concurrent projects
