Line Cook

Tribute Eatery & Bar in Ankeny, IA is hiring Line Cooks to join our kitchen team. We're looking for dependable people who enjoy working in a busy restaurant kitchen and take pride in preparing quality food. Our kitchen team supports everything from daily prep and station setup to cooking menu items during service. Tribute Eatery & Bar is a neighborhood restaurant serving elevated comfort food, handcrafted cocktails, and memorable dining experiences. Our kitchen team works together to prepare quality food, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and keep service running smoothly. Pay $15 - $22 per hour based on experience. Schedule & Availability Full-time and part-time opportunities available Sunday availability is required Scheduling is based on restaurant needs and individual availability Full-Time Benefits Employees averaging 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for: Paid Time Off beginning at two weeks annually, with additional PTO opportunities based on tenure Medical insurance options with Tribute Eatery & Bar covering 50% of employee premiums Dental and vision insurance options 401(k) plan with discretionary employer match for eligible employees Benefits for All Team Members 25% dining discount for you and up to seven guests Employee Assistance Program with access to free counseling sessions Craft Concepts restaurant discounts throughout Iowa, Omaha, Kansas City, and Missouri Employee appreciation events and team celebrations What You'll Do Prepare ingredients and recipes needed for daily service Set up and stock your station with food, supplies, and equipment Cook menu items using grills, fryers, sauté stations, broilers, and other kitchen equipment Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and established quality standards Maintain consistent food preparation throughout service Properly label, rotate, store, and handle food Keep kitchen stations, equipment, and surrounding work areas clean and organized Complete assigned cleaning, stocking, inventory, and food storage tasks Communicate with kitchen leaders and teammates throughout the shift Support prep and line operations based on the needs of the kitchen Complete other duties as assigned What We're Looking For Must be 18 years of age or older Previous restaurant kitchen, prep cook, or line cook experience is preferred Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team Strong communication and organizational skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to stand and move throughout the kitchen for extended periods Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds Tribute Eatery & Bar is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer #J-18808-Ljbffr Tribute Eatery & Bar
