Position Summary Torch Technologies is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) – SkillBridge to support our Air Force Weapons effort at Eglin AFB, FL. The role is offered through the DoW SkillBridge Program, open to all ranks, enlisted or officer, and involves active‑service members in the transition to civilian life with up to 180 days of industry training. Responsibilities Carry out all phases of the information systems/network security program, ensuring access to computers and data meets contractual requirements. Conduct regular audits to confirm systems operate securely and that security policies and procedures are followed. Develop, update, and manage Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages within eMASS. Execute continuous monitoring, review audit logs, analyze vulnerability scans, and verify system configuration baselines. Implement, enforce, and assess NIST SP 800‑53 security controls and DISA STIGs and SRGs. Use ACAS to scan, identify, and coordinate remediation of system vulnerabilities. Identify, report, and track cybersecurity incidents and data spills per USAF and DoW directives. Draft, review, and maintain System Security Plans (SSP), continuously track POA&M, and document system‑specific operating procedures. Maintain deep understanding of NIST RMF, DoDI 8510.01, and USAF guidance such as AFI 17‑101. Required Qualifications Currently an active‑duty service member. Within 2‑4 months of separation or retirement. Will receive an honorable discharge. Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS. Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months. Received written authorization from a Unit Commander (first O‑4/Field‑Grade commander) to participate in DoW SkillBridge prior to internship start; some bases may require an MOU. Meets DoW SkillBridge qualifications per DODI 1322.29. US citizenship. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience (6 years in lieu of degree). Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Maintains a DoW 8140 / 8570.01‑M certification (Security+ CE at a minimum). Requires a final DoW Top Secret clearance at program start and must maintain it throughout the internship. Schedule Monday‑Friday; 8‑5. Work Location Eglin AFB, FL. Travel 10‑20%.
