Qualifications Ability to design a classroom environment that generates joyful learning. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Patience, creativity, optimism, resilience and adaptability. Experience teaching advanced learners. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with various school constituents. Proficient technology skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Well-versed in educational best practices for teaching elementary school children. Typical Duties and Responsibilities Personalize and customize instruction to best support advanced learners needs in grades 1-5. Develop learning experiences to challenge and support advanced learners. Promote the best interests of each child in their classroom. Use appropriate technology in support of the curriculum Plan a well-balanced program to ensure instruction includes creative activities, problem-solving, and thinking skills. Lessons should reflect developmentally appropriate skills, a logical sequence of topics, and reasonable student assessments. With the administration and grade level team, plan special programs and visitors. Research and develop new curriculum topics. Plan and execute classroom activities and routines that meet both individual and group needs. Communicate effective with students, parents, and colleagues. Education Required Bachelors or better.
