TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Twin Falls, Idaho, 83301!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Thermaguard/Zoll cooling experience with Targeted Temperature Management (TTM) - EPIC experience - Previous travel experience - 2 years of ICU experience preferred Description: ASAP starts are required. The unit consists of an ICU and PCU combination with a total of 30 beds, including 16 ICU beds and 14 PCU beds. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:1-2 for ICU and 1:3 for PCU. Travelers do not get specialty patients such as ventilated, cardiac post PCI, or stroke patients. Common diagnoses include traumas, sepsis, overdoses, some abdominal trauma, and surgical cases. RNs are required to titrate drips, including standard ICU drips and some pressors within written parameters in the PCU. Charge nurses do not take an assignment and support the entire unit. There is a CNA support with a ratio of 1:8, assisting with tasks such as vital signs, bathing, and specimen collection. An intensivist is present in-house 7 days a week during the day, with eICU support at night. The respiratory therapy team is available in the unit 24/7, managing vents and respiratory treatments. There are tele techs on the unit who monitor patients, but RNs must be comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry strips. Shifts are scheduled from 7 PM to 7 AM, with flexibility required from travelers. Weekend requirements typically involve every other weekend, depending on unit needs. There is a call or standby requirement. RNs will float between ICU and PCU patients as needed. Scrub color is navy blue. The unit has a great culture, emphasizing teamwork and interaction with travelers. Cancellation policies allow for client cancellations up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
