Must keep work area, tools, and equipment clean and in working conditionNotify supervisor and address potential safety hazards in a timely fashionOperate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, and a variety of other equipment and instrumentsAssist other craft workers in doing their job functionsMeasure, mark, and record openings and distances to lay out areas where construction work will be performedClean and prepare sites, dig trenches, or compact and level earth using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakesHelps mechanic perform maintenance and repairs such as tune-ups and oil changes, checks tire and brakes, replaces spark plugs and engages in other similar tasksAssists mechanic with electrical systems such as replacing batteries, starters, and lightsTest drives vehicles to ensure repairs are completed propertyCleans the shop and returns tools to proper locationMaintains inventory of replacement parts and equipmentInspects tools and equipment to ensure they are in working orderUpdates maintenance and repair logs for vehiclesFollow all Company policies and procedures and obtain certifications at Company/Client request, including but not limited to, BBP, Onsite Orientations, First Aid, CPR, Annual OSHA Training, PEC, H2SEvers & Sons Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a background check investigation and drug screen.
