Spartanburg Housing currently has an opening for a full-time Assistant Community Manager. Responsibilities Assists in the planning, organizing, and coordinating of activities for housing developments, including determining eligibility, maintaining waiting lists, overseeing rent calculation and collection, procurement of goods and services, including security programs, and lease enforcement. Supports maintaining property budgets, monitors expenses, and assists in determining needed capital improvements. Helps to initiate and review purchase orders; reviews and approves invoices for payment and resolves discrepancies in billing. Assists in the initiation of major project repairs and property improvements, provides oversight of contractors, and ensures satisfactory completion of work. Interviews clients to verify eligibility data and occupancy information and calculates rent in accordance with Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Spartanburg Housing policies and procedures; reviews information and calculations with clients and ensures effective communication of lease terms. Requirements Associate's degree in business administration, public administration, or related field and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in property management. Experience in property management or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the requirements of the position.
