As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Support in North Andover, MA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.44 / Hour

Day Time Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

1. Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
2. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with established access-control procedures; verify identification and maintain required entry documentation.
• Monitor screening equipment, access points, and surrounding areas for unusual activity, prohibited items, or policy concerns, and report findings to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and support a professional environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
