Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition OverviewThe Infant Lead Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care for infants while ensuring full compliance with Michigan Child Care Licensing regulations. This role requires consistency, emotional attunement, and strong communication skills. The Infant Lead Teacher works closely with the Program Director to maintain classroom excellence, staff accountability, and family trust.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide warm, responsive, and individualized care that supports infants’ physical, emotional, and cognitive developmentFollow all safe sleep, feeding, and diapering procedures in compliance with Michigan licensing standardsMaintain constant supervision and required caregiver-to-child ratiosCreate and maintain a clean, organized, and calming classroom environmentObserve, document, and report developmental milestones and daily activitiesComplete daily reports and communicate clearly with familiesFollow center policies, procedures, and guidance from the Program DirectorParticipate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional developmentImmediately report concerns related to health, safety, or compliance to the Program DirectorQualificationsMust be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or GED requiredInfant/Toddler CDA or ECE coursework preferredPrevious infant classroom experience preferredCPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Must meet all Michigan Child Care Center licensing requirements\nCompany DescriptionConnections Child Development Center is a faith-based organization that seeks to partner with families in the care and development of their children.
