What You’ll Do- Lead advanced diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems (including CAN bus and ECM), as well as medium and light duty applications.
- Perform engine overhauls, rebuilds, and complex repairs with precision and efficiency.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and service manuals to troubleshoot intricate issues.
- Operate cranes and specialized equipment to support high-level maintenance tasks.
- Mentor and train junior technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Communicate expertly with customers, providing detailed diagnostics and service recommendations.
- Maintain meticulous records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Drive process improvements and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5–10+ years of experience in heavy equipment, diesel, or hydraulic system repair.
- Expert-level knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in advanced diagnostics and complex repairs (e.g., CAN bus, ECM).
- Ability to supply a full set of professional tools suitable for the job.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in high-pressure settings.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle (mobile role).
- Ability to pass background checks.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in indoor/outdoor environments.
- Multiple ASE certifications, including T2 (Diesel Engines), T3 (Drive Train), T4 (Brakes), T5 (Suspension and Steering), T6 (Electrical/Electronic Systems), T7 (Heating, Ventilation, and A/C), and T8 (Preventive Maintenance) or Master Diesel Technician status.
- Lead technician, supervisory, or shop management experience.
- Proven expertise in field service or mobile repair.
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills, with experience leading projects on job sites.
