Compensation & Schedule

• Salaried position – no tips
• Full-time: 40 – 50 hours per week in store
• Required to work Friday and Saturday evenings until business slows

Job Overview

The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of SEVEN, overseeing operations, financial performance, staff leadership, and guest experience. This role requires a hands-on, customer-facing leader who works closely with corporate leadership to execute strategy, manage profitability, and ensure employees are consistently meeting expectations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a General Manager or senior manager in an upscale bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L statements.
• Deep understanding of inventory, labor control, and cost management.
• Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and bar operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable being hands-on and customer-facing.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to bend, kneel, squat, twist, and reach overhead
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs
• Ability to perform cleaning and organizational tasks as needed

Leadership & Accountability

• Lead by example with a strong floor presence
• Hold employees accountable through coaching, documentation, and reviews
• Enforce all company policies and woven standards

Staffing & Performance Management

• Hiring, training, scheduling, and termination of employees
• Conduct performance reviews and ongoing coaching
• Labor management in alignment with financial targets

Financial & Operational Management

• Manage P&L performance in coordination with corporate
• Payroll processing and labor accuracy
• Multiple weekly bank deposits
• Invoice processing and cost control

Inventory & Ordering

• Ordering of spirits, beer, wine, and supplies
• Monthly inventory counts using approved lists
• Vendor meetings and relationship management

Beverage and Food Program & Menu Development

• Creation, testing, and approval of cocktail menus
• Oversight, testing, and approval of food items
• Maintenance of bartending standards and education
• Toast item setup and management

Cleanliness, Safety & Compliance

• Maintain health, safety, and liquor law compliance
• Ensure inspection-ready cleanliness standards

Guest Experience & Atmosphere

• Customer-facing leadership during service
• Issue resolution and service recovery
• Maintain high-end, consistent atmosphere

Marketing, Events & Community Presence

• Create and manage events and private bookings
• Represent SEVEN as a premier venue

Reporting & Corporate Collaboration

• Regular reporting on sales, labor, inventory
• Execute corporate initiatives and standards
