Senior Litigation Paralegal

We are seeking a senior paralegal with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in complex litigation and trial support to join its team of trial attorneys on highly complex cases. Preference will be given to candidates with strong eDiscovery skills and advanced certifications (CP, CCP, RP, or CEDS). Qualifications Minimum of 10 years’ as a complex litigation paralegal with experience supporting mass tort, class action, and multi-district litigation matters Solid understanding of civil litigation and procedural rules for state, federal and appellate courts Case management experience that includes tracking discovery and trial deadlines, issuing subpoenas and monitoring responses, managing large volumes of electronic data, organizing incoming client data, and transmitting data via Sharefile Proactively manage production data, including external productions received via FTP; maintain production logs and prepare production summaries Perform searches in Relativity to prepare for depositions, export data to be used as exhibits, and load deposition transcripts into Case Notebook or coordinate for upload to Relativity; export production indexes and privilege log reports from Relativity Perform legal research, cite check and Shepardize briefs and motions to verify sources, check for accuracy, citation style, and formatting Prepare timelines and chronologies, trial notebooks, exhibit binders, witness lists, witness binders, trial subpoenas, depo transcript excerpts and video clips Experience coordinating with external vendors and internal Litigation Support team Ability to think and act independently with minimal supervision Articulate, organized and a team player with excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and ability to communicate with team members to plan work and meet deadlines ABA-approved Paralegal certificate, or attorney declaration (B&P Code 6450) Responsibilities Support trial attorneys to assist with management of complex litigation cases with multiple parties and a high volume of electronic data Maintain and update case files, including pleadings, discovery, correspondence, productions, and exhibits Monitor discovery and trial deadlines and proactively communicate with team members to plan for same Coordinate with external parties, such as clients, witnesses, experts, co-counsel, opposing counsel, and court staff as necessary; coordinate with internal resources for copying, scanning, managing client data, and setting up eDiscovery dbases Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw and Lexis, or other online and offline resources to gather relevant information Access and download docketed pleadings from court repositories, and prepare appendix of record for appellate cases Summarize and present research findings to attorneys in a clear and concise manner Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and affidavits Cite check briefs and motions, and prepare table of authorities Assist with the preparation and filing of court documents ensuring adherence to court rules and procedures in various jurisdictions (i.e., state, federal, appellate) Organize and maintain deposition and hearing transcripts in Case Notebook or Relativity Assist in the preparation and response to discovery requests, including document productions and interrogatories Perform document review and searches in eDiscovery review platforms, including Relativity, Disco, and Everlaw Assist in conducting investigations, including locating and interviewing witnesses, and gathering relevant evidence Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions Organize and manage trial exhibits, witness lists, and other trial-related materials Provide on-site support during trials, including managing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and assisting with courtroom technology. #J-18808-Ljbffr AGG Legal Staffing
