Carpenter

Overview Florida Institute of Technology is a growing, top‑ranked university with over 2,000,000 square feet of facilities to maintain. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled carpenter who has a positive attitude and can work independently as well as in a team environment. Responsibilities Framing, trim work, cabinetry, drywall, commercial grid work, flooring, roof repairs, doors, windows, glass replacement, small concrete jobs, TV installations, and both residential and commercial remodeling. Perform maintenance and repairs on all campus facilities, both on and off campus. Perform renovation and remodeling projects. Review, maintain, and submit records regarding time and materials expended on projects. Operate heavy equipment such as high‑lift. Maintain tools and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition. May be required to work evenings and weekends in an emergency or to support after‑hours University events. Assist in emergency preparedness and support as directed. Additional duties as assigned. Requirements 30‑hour OSHA GI certification is preferred. Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain a good driving record as determined by Florida Tech guidelines. Good communication skills.
