WeareseekingaLinguistIIItosupportourclientsmultilingualAIresearchinitiativesfocusedonlanguageunderstanding,ResponsibleAI,andlarge-scalelinguisticanalysis.Inthisrole,youwillpartnercloselywithresearchers,engineers,datascientists,andcross-functionalteamstoimproveAIsystemsacrossdiverselanguagesandculturalcontexts.

JobResponsibilities

Performlinguisticanalysesonlargemultilingualdatasets
ConductlinguisticerroranalysisofAImodeloutputsandidentifyfrequentorhigh-severityerrorcategories
Write,refine,andmaintainguidelinesforannotationandtranslationworkflows
Conductsociolinguistics,psycholinguistics,andpragmaticsresearchacrossmultiplelanguages,identifyingsimilaritiesanddistinctionsbetweenlinguisticsystems
SupportResponsibleAIinitiativesthroughanalysisoftoxiclanguage,hatespeech,genderbias,andculturalbiasinmultilingualenvironments
ConductliteraturereviewsonNLP-adjacentlinguistictopicsandsummarizeresearchfindings
Evaluatelinguisticqualityacrossvendors,identifyrecurringissues,andprovideactionablefeedback
Serveasasubjectmatterexpertacrossareasincludingtypology,syntax,morphology,phonetics/phonology,pragmatics,sociolinguistics,andlanguageclassification
Collaboratewithnativespeakersandcross-functionalstakeholdersacrossgloballanguagecommunities
Communicateresearchfindingsandlinguisticinsightstoengineersandresearchscientists

Qualifications

Mustbenear-nativeproficientinalanguageotherthanEnglish,preferablyVietnamese,Dutch,Portuguese,orThai.
MustbeabletocodeinPython(must)andquerydatabasesusingSQL,othercodinglanguagesusedfordataanalysis(e.g.,R)areaplus.
Musthavestrongwrittenandspokencommunicationskills,especiallybusinessandresearchcommunication.
Musthavesolidtheoreticalandpracticalfoundationsinthedynamicsofconversations(turntaking,repairs,interruptions,argumentation,persuasion,compromising,etc.)
Workingknowledgeinotherlanguagesisaplus.Proficiencyinalow-resourcelanguageisvalued.
Mustbeabletoindependentlyworkthroughcomplexrequestsandperformunderpressure.
Strongabilitytoworkindependently,prioritize,plan,andtrackwork,aswellasreportprogress
