Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a CT Technologist Trainee - Per Diem - Outpatient NYU Imaging - Garden City.

In this role, the successful candidate Observes and works directly with a CT technologist to assist in performing medically prescribed CT procedures of designated anatomical areas, under the general direction of the radiologist and supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:

* Demonstrates knowledge of the HIS and RIS systems as they relate to radiology * Under direct supervision of a CT technologist, demonstrates skill in equipment set-up, utilization and proper maintenance procedure * Under direct supervision of a CT technologist, assists in patent procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards * Effectively assesses patient’s information and status, and works directly with a CT technologist to follow appropriate procedures accordingly * Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Obtaining an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Sciences.

Preferred Licenses: Radiologic TechLic IV-Cert-NYS

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $16.00 - $16.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. • Minimum of one year nursing experience preferred
• Strong med surg, ICU, ER, acute experience
• Home Health experience a plus
• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse licensure
• Current CPR certification
• Strong organizational and communication skills
