This assignment seeks two Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants to deliver on-site services across multiple school sites, engaging students from Pre-K through transition age (up to 22 years old). Each school assignment—spanning elementary, middle, and high school campuses—brings its own unique energy and scheduling flexibility, ensuring every day feels impactful and fresh.

Key Qualifications:

• Active clinical license with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Active educator license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
• Previous school-based experience is strongly preferred
• Fingerprinting and timely credentialing required before start
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to engage effectively with students, educators, and families

Your Role Will Include:

• Providing direct occupational therapy support services as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
• Traveling between assigned sites within the district as an itinerant COTA
• Serving a varied caseload of students across the full school-age spectrum
• Collaborating with teachers, related service providers, and administrators to advance individualized education and therapy goals
• Documenting student progress and maintaining appropriate records as required by district and state regulations

This is a full-time contract assignment, with hours totaling between 35 and 37.5 each week, depending on specific site schedules. You will experience professional growth, develop lasting relationships within the schools, and make a daily difference in student achievement.
