Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to join our team in a geriatric psychiatric unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health nursing within a short-term acute care setting, focusing on providing comprehensive care to elderly patients.

Key Responsibilities

Manage patient milieu to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
Administer medications and manage treatment plans for patients.
Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings appropriately.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes.
Provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families.

Qualifications

Minimum of 12 months of permanent behavioral health experience in a short-term acute care hospital setting, not including psychiatric facilities.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a Compact License.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

References

A recent reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applied for is required for consideration.

Schedule

This position is for day shifts working three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
