The posted compensation range of $49.26 - $68.27 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes. To thrive in this vital role, you will possess keen assessment skills, acute critical thinking, and a patient-first mindset, driven by a profound enthusiasm to help others. Your sense of urgency and dedication to excellence in a fast-paced environment will not only support patient recovery but also fuel your own career advancement.

• Triage walk-ins to determine if a patient is in labor, water is broken, false alarm, etc
• Support pregnant patients in labor including induction, epidural assistance (if needed), general pain management and fetal monitoring
• Assist and circulate in the operating room for cesarean sections, tubal ligation, cerclage and emergency procedures
• Educate patients on various interventions or procedures - medications (name and purpose), exams, and labor stages
• Assess newborn and provide care.
• Communicate with the care management team, including anesthesiologist, physician or midwife, lactation nurse, charge nurse, postpartum unit, patient and family

Job Requirements

Required

• 1 year of the last 2 years, recent experience as an RN in Labor and Delivery, or as an RN in an acute care setting and successful completion of applicable clinical and didactic SRDH specialty training program
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Registered Nurse: NV
• American Heart Association
  • Basic Life Support - CPR
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Preferred

• 3 years of the last 5 years recent experience as an RN in Labor and Delivery or equivalent in a setting with 100 births/month.
