Registered Dental Assistant

Job Type: Hours: Monday - Thursday 8 AM - 5 PM (32 hours/week). Schedule: 8 hour shift, no nights, no weekends—4 day work week. Pay: $25.00 - $42.00 per hour (dependent upon experience and credentials). Who are we? Los Altos Family Smiles is dedicated to making every patient visit a positive experience. What are we looking for? • Ideally, at least 2 years of assisting experience in the dental field (RDA preferred; training available for the right candidate). • Someone who will positively shape office culture and collaborate within a team. • A team member comfortable with computers and cameras, with bonus points for Open Dental experience. Your future role Assist in procedures from restorative (crowns and fillings) to surgical treatment and various types of sedation, using advanced technology to deliver the best patient care. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring readiness for the next patient. Support the front office team with scheduling and patient communication when necessary. Provide a calming bedside manner for nervous patients. Deliver excellent chairside assistance—support the doctor and patient, and provide full‑circle service to ensure the best patient experience, including follow‑up calls and more. Communicate efficiently and effectively with all team members to ensure smooth operations and patient flow. Keep the practice organized—sterilize instruments, maintain accurate patient records, and ensure the office runs efficiently. Help manage inventory and supplies, maintaining stock levels and coordinating with necessary representatives. Perks & Benefits Competitive Pay: dependent upon experience and a working interview.
